Welcome to Type It Out (“we”, “us”, “our”, or the “Site”).
By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. About Type It Out

Type It Out is a hobby project operated by an individual.
The Site is a community-driven writing platform where users publish their own articles, opinions, and creative work.

There is no registered business entity, and all hosting, infrastructure, and technical services are provided through third-party providers such as Vercel, Cloudflare, and a WordPress backend hosted in Canada.

2. Eligibility

By using the Site, you confirm that:

  • you are at least 13 years old, and
  • you have the legal right to publish the content you submit.

3. Cookies and Tracking

Type It Out uses minimal tracking and no advertising or analytics cookies.

What we do NOT use:

  • No Google Analytics
  • No Google Ads
  • No third-party advertising trackers
  • No cross-site tracking cookies

What we DO use:

  • Essential cookies for logged-in/registered users (session management only)
  • Cookieless page-view beacon that reports basic anonymous page-view events to Vercel and our backend
  • Cloudflare logs (IP address, user agent, request time) for security and performance
  • Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights, which do not use cookies

These tools may collect:

  • IP address
  • browser/user agent
  • pages visited
  • timestamps
  • performance metrics

This data is used strictly for site functionality, security, and performance insights.

4. User Accounts

Registered users are responsible for:

  • maintaining the confidentiality of their credentials
  • all activity under their account
  • ensuring the accuracy of their submissions

We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms.

5. User-Generated Content

Users retain full ownership of the content they publish on Type It Out.

By posting content on the Site, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, revocable license to:

  • display your content on the Site
  • store backup copies
  • share excerpts or links on social media or newsletters solely for the purpose of promoting Type It Out and your published work

You may edit or delete your content at any time.

Your responsibilities

You represent and warrant that:

  • the content you publish is yours or you have rights to use it
  • it does not infringe any intellectual property rights
  • it does not violate privacy, defamation, or other laws
  • it does not include unlawful, hateful, or harmful material

You are solely responsible for your published content.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • publish unlawful or infringing content
  • use the Site for spam, commercial solicitation, or automated posting
  • scrape the Site or use automated tools to harvest content
  • attempt to bypass security measures
  • interfere with site operation or infrastructure

7. AI-Related Policies

Allowed

Users may publish content that was generated with or assisted by AI tools.

Not Allowed

  • scraping or harvesting content from Type It Out for training AI models
  • using automated crawlers to extract articles en masse
  • training AI models on any content hosted on Type It Out

Our policy

Type It Out does not use user content to train AI models or sell data for AI training.

8. Intellectual Property

Except for the content provided by users, all other materials on the Site (branding, layout, code, design) are owned by Type It Out or its licensors.

Users may not:

  • reproduce or republish Site materials without permission
  • scrape or redistribute user content published by others

9. External Links

The Site may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party sites.

10. Availability

We do not guarantee that the Site will always be available, free of errors, or uninterrupted.
Maintenance, outages, or technical issues may occur.

11. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Type It Out is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
  • We are not liable for user-generated content.
  • We are not liable for loss of data, downtime, or harm resulting from use of the Site.
  • We do not assume responsibility for actions taken by users or third parties.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Removal of Content

We may remove content at our discretion if it:

  • violates these Terms
  • infringes intellectual property
  • contains harmful or illegal material

If you believe your copyrighted work appears on the Site without permission, contact us at admin@typeitout.com and we will address it promptly.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time.
Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
